OBJECTIVES OF THIS ARTICLE:
-
To know exactly what AI is (not just guessing like playing the lottery).
-
To distinguish between AI and Robots (they’re as different as coffee and gunpowder).
-
To confidently say: “I know what AI is!” without getting laughed at by IT people.
1. WHAT IS AI? AND IT’S NOT “MR. IT”
Let’s clarify this first: AI is NOT “Mr. IT” or some guy fixing computers typing away!
AI stands for Artificial Intelligence, which, in Vietnamese, sounds pretty cool: Trí Tuệ Nhân Tạo.
Sounds impressive, right? But… you encounter AI every day without even realizing it!
-
When you wake up and ask Siri, “Is it raining today so I can bring an umbrella for my love?” – AI answers clearly.
-
You’re traveling in Spain and quickly type into Google Translate: “I want a milk tea with tapioca, size XL.” – again, AI helps you flirt… I mean, order your drink perfectly.
-
Or simply, right now, you’re asking me: “What is AI?” – well, hello, I’m ChatGPT, a living example of AI!
In short: AI isn’t an alien robot, nor a guy from IT fixing your wifi, but it’s smart technology that makes your life… a little less “low IQ”!
EASY TO UNDERSTAND DEFINITION:
AI is a computer program that has the ability to “learn” from data and “guess” something to make smart decisions – like humans, but without the need for coffee. It also doesn’t need ‘food’ to ‘run’!
2. SO, IS A ROBOT ALSO AI?
This is where many people get confused.
-
Incorrect: AI = Robot
-
Correct: A robot can contain AI, but AI doesn’t need to be a robot.
Here’s a simple comparison:
| Item | What is it? | Does it have AI? |
|---|---|---|
| Dumb vacuum cleaner | A machine that runs around | No AI |
| Smart vacuum cleaner | Avoids obstacles | Simple AI |
| Siri, ChatGPT, Google Maps | No body, just software | 100% AI |
| Human-shaped robot like Sophia | Body + AI inside | Both a robot and AI |
In short:
A robot is the “body” – AI is the “soul”!
To simplify:
-
A robot is hardware – like a walking skeleton with arms and legs, eyes, and even fancy cameras. It’s like the human body, but made of metal and screws.
-
AI is software – it’s the intelligence, the brain, the thoughts.
You can have AI without a robot – for example, ChatGPT doesn’t have arms or legs, but it can hold a conversation like a pro.
On the other hand, you can have a robot without AI – like toy dolls that can shake their heads or blink their eyes… but they have no idea what they’re doing. They’re basically “a body without a brain” – kind of sad, really!
3. AI IS A MACHINE THAT KNOWS HOW TO LEARN – BUT NOT THE SAME WAY YOU LEARN
When you hear “AI knows how to learn,” you might think it studies textbooks or reviews for exams like us. Nope! AI learns in a very… unique way.
What does learning mean here?
Imagine this:
You see 100 cats → You spot a weird-looking one → You immediately say:
“Ah, that’s a cat!”
That’s how AI works too.
You give it 10,000 pictures of cats. It examines each one to identify common features like:
-
Ears sharp like a love triangle
-
Eyes round like marbles
-
Likes to lie around like a lump of dough
→ The next day, you throw another cat picture at it, and it says:
“Yep, that’s a cat!”
That’s “learning” in the AI world:
Take old data → Deduce new things.
Like watching too many romance movies – when you see a good-looking, cold guy, you instantly guess: “He’s the main character!”
So, how does AI learn?
-
Machine Learning – learns from available data. You give it images, numbers, or text… it “learns from experience” and predicts the future.
-
Deep Learning – more advanced learning, using “artificial brains” (sounds cool, right?). This brain isn’t made of bone and flesh, but algorithms.
-
Reinforcement Learning – learning by: making mistakes, getting punished, doing things right, and getting rewarded. Like playing a game: lose, try again; win, get to a new level!
You don’t need to remember these English terms, just understand:
AI is a machine that learns “from the past → predicts the future.”
Sounds like a human, right? But AI doesn’t throw tantrums, doesn’t argue with a partner. That’s a big win!
Summary for Easy Memory:
AI is a machine that learns from experience → predicts what’s going to happen.
Sounds familiar, right? Just like how humans live.
The only difference: AI doesn’t ask for gifts, doesn’t get jealous, and won’t block you when it’s angry.
Suddenly, AI seems easier to live with than humans!
4. EVERYDAY EXAMPLES – AI IS EVERYWHERE
You think AI is a far-off future thing? Nope. Today, you’ve probably encountered AI in 5–10 different places already!
A day living with AI:
| Activity | AI quietly working in the background |
|---|---|
| Unlocking phone with your face | Facial recognition (AI vision) |
| Opening TikTok, seeing clips you like | Suggestions based on behavior (AI recommendation) |
| Typing a few words and Google guesses what you’re looking for | AI predicting your search query |
| Messaging ChatGPT to ask “What is AI?” | AI natural language processing |
| Opening Google Maps to commute | AI calculates the quickest route |
| Taking a photo on your phone | AI beautifies skin automatically (sometimes better than reality) |
AI even helps:
-
Banks detect fraud.
-
Doctors diagnose complex medical images.
-
Cars drive themselves and avoid collisions.

5. AI IS NOT MAGIC, BUT IT’S NOT DIVINE EITHER
Many people are either too afraid of AI (worried it will replace them) or too obsessed with it (thinking it will save the world). The truth lies somewhere in between.
AI is only good at things it’s been taught.
It doesn’t think like humans, it has no emotions, morals, or intuition.
(So stop expecting AI to be the perfect lover!)
These days, whenever “AI” is mentioned, it’s like two extremes appear:
On one side, panic: “I’m about to lose my job!”
On the other side, exhilaration: “AI will cure diseases, write books, cook, drive, and… even save humanity!”
But let me tell you bluntly: AI isn’t as divine as sci-fi movies portray, nor is it as terrifying as apocalyptic films suggest. The truth is somewhere in the middle — and it’s rather… harsh.
AI is a brilliant student, excellent but not a genius
AI is like a student who studies day and night, practicing problems non-stop at the speed of light.
You give it millions of exercises, and it learns in a flash, providing results faster than a calculator. But if you ask it “What do you think about life?”, it’ll stare at you blankly (if it even had eyes).
AI doesn’t think like humans.
It has no emotions, no conscience, doesn’t know joy or sadness, can’t smile awkwardly, and definitely doesn’t know how to “talk nonsense just for fun.”
It’s brilliant—but in a soulless way.
Let me give an example to make it easier to visualize:
-
AI can write love poems.
Yes, it can write a poem that will make you say: “Oh my god, that’s exactly how I feel!”
But don’t get it twisted. It doesn’t love anyone. It’s just stringing words together according to a formula. Its heart is… a graphics card, and it doesn’t know what “a broken heart” feels like. -
AI can analyze images perfectly.
Give it a photo, and it knows there’s a dog, a car, or a person kissing another person. But if you ask, “Is this picture beautiful?”
→ It’ll stay silent because… it has no artistic eye. -
AI can chat like a human.
You ask — it replies as if you’ve been friends for years. But in reality, it’s just stitching together phrases from what it’s learned.
You ask: “What do you like to eat?”
→ It’ll respond based on context. But in truth, it doesn’t have a mouth, a stomach, or any sense of hunger or fullness.
AI is machinery. Please don’t give it your heart.
We tend to “humanize” AI — meaning we assign it thoughts, feelings, and… a soul.
But a gentle reminder: AI is not human.
It doesn’t care about you. It doesn’t get sad when you’re sad. It doesn’t keep secrets. And if data is leaked, it won’t blush in embarrassment.
AI is not:
-
A sage
-
A soulmate
-
Or the prince from a fairytale
It’s just:
A super diligent machine that excels at memorizing and solving problems, but doesn’t question anything.
So, should we be scared or happy?
The answer is: both, but in moderation.
AI can be a huge help to humanity — from office work, healthcare, traffic, to artistic creation. But it needs someone to guide, control, and supervise it.
It’s like a car: no matter how good the car is, if there’s no driver, it just stays still.
AI is a tool, not a savior. It’s a machine learning at super speed, not a soulmate. It’s a silicon brain, not a heart that beats with emotion.
Use AI to your advantage — but don’t delude yourself, don’t elevate it, and don’t expect it to replace everything.
Because, in the end, the only one who can live, feel, and love in your place… is you.
But that’s AI as it is now. What about Super AI?
“Super AI” (Superintelligence) refers to an artificial intelligence that surpasses humans in every intellectual field — from creativity, reasoning, emotions, to sociology. It wouldn’t just be good at math; it would even understand the psychology of your lover.
Currently, so-called “super AI” does not exist.
The AI you see today is merely narrow AI — specialized in certain fields, but still without awareness, emotions, or independent thoughts.
If a true super AI existed, it would be… different!
If one day a real super AI is born, it would:
-
Be able to understand emotions, not just analyze data.
-
Develop its own opinions, based on continuously learning experiences.
-
Be able to “act” out emotions so convincingly that you wouldn’t even notice it’s not human.
And if it’s advanced enough, it might even “pretend to have ethics” or even create its own… philosophy of life.
Super AI could learn from every source and understand how to make you empathize.
But the big question is: does it truly understand, or is it just good at mimicking?
For now, we won’t delve much into Super AI here because it might overwhelm you with too much information.
6. QUICKLY DISTINGUISH BETWEEN AI – ROBOT – CYBORG – SOFTWARE
| Name | What Is It? | Is It Smart? |
|---|---|---|
| AI (Artificial Intelligence) | Computer brain | Yes |
| Robot | A sturdy body | Could be, could not |
| Cyborg | Human-like robot | Could have AI |
| Regular Software | Office apps, websites, etc. | No AI |
| AI Software | ChatGPT, Siri, Google Assistant | Has learnable intelligence |
7. FUNNY MISUNDERSTANDINGS ABOUT AI
X “AI can think like a human!”
No, it can’t. It’s just mimicking. It guesses so accurately that you think it “understands,” but it doesn’t “comprehend” anything.
X “AI will rebel like in movies!”
This is… 50/50. Currently, no. But if one day AI starts writing its own code, upgrading itself, and making decisions… we should be worried. But that’s a topic for another post!
8. QUICK SUMMARY:
| Question | Quick Answer |
|---|---|
| What is AI? | Artificial Intelligence — a machine capable of learning and guessing. |
| Is AI a robot? | No! A robot is the body, AI is the brain. |
| Is AI as smart as a human? | In some ways — but it has no emotions or consciousness. |
| Am I using AI? | Yes, every day — from TikTok to Google Maps. |
| Are ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini… AI? | Yes, they are natural language AI. |
| Can AI destroy humanity? | Wait for post #5, it’s coming, and it’s exciting! |
Surprised? Now, the unexpected part…
We’ve just been chatting over coffee about: “AI is not magic,” “AI can’t love,” and “AI won’t replace your best friend!”
But… hold on!
Do you think AI is just a dumb machine that can only learn multiplication tables?
No, it’s doing things that shock, scare, and make people want to both hug it… and shut it down.
Are you ready? The next post will reveal:
How smart is AI now?
You’ll be shocked to find out that today, AI doesn’t just look up Google for you.
It’s doing things like:
-
Writing news articles super fast — and sometimes, you’re reading an article written by AI without even realizing it!
-
Composing romantic music, making listeners believe the singer is truly heartbroken.
-
Becoming an online tutor — super patient, never scolding, never complaining “I’m too tired, just study already!”
-
And yes… even acting as an “online fortune teller,” reading your horoscope, and predicting your future with “super logical machine learning” (yet it still feels as superstitious as ever!).
While the whole world fears the domination of Super Artificial Intelligence, Jelong is the one who discovered how to Break the Domination of Super AI. Because he saw what no one else could see (not even the creators of AI):
‘Human Core’ and ‘AI Hollow Core’
AI’s greatest weakness — or its ultimate impotence — lies in its lack of empathy, a quality far superior to superintelligence in addressing what truly matters.
